How is that a comparison if you never saw the longevity of your clearcoat outputting that on. My paint is just as clear and still beed off as it did on day one and it’s eight years old and the only thing I have ever done to it was claybar it. Ceramic is very very temporary and is bullshit for that reason. Do some homework and you will see how very temporary ceramic is. You’re much better off, keeping the money in your pocket and letting the technology of today’s clearcoat do what they are exactly designed to do.

I have from prior vehicles I didn’t coat and just hand washed. And I’ve done my homework I would love to see all this chemistry bullshit anecdotal stuff you keep spewing with no evidence, a properly applied quality coating is worth every penny. It’s also not the coating that’s expensive it’s the paint correction and labor prepping prior to.

First of all, I want to say that in no way is our conversation personal and nothing to do with you personally. But you said exactly the keyword right there in your statement “hand wash”,
the number one killer of clearcoat is actually physically touching it. I’ve hand touch mine literally only 16 times over eight years and that is it!
And never never ever take a car through a touch car wash, the number one murderer of clearcoat.
my eight year old paint is living proof.

Put 34 miles on a Taco extra cab today. I was impressed with the transmission and the engine. She’s got guts even tho it’s detuned. And it has steelies!

For some reason the front plastic hub covers were on the passenger floor mats.

    IMG_3385.jpg

The damn display has an icon which shows if you are going up or downhill. My 2014 can only dream of that.

    It’s a little longer.

My old reg cab has 170,000 miles. I think I’ll keep it for a couple more years. The new one was a touch over $38000 all in with the port add ons. It was very nice though I was impressed.

Whoever came up with that concept has never been off-road nor knows what the word dust means.

Doesn't matter. The type of people who will buy it will do so only because it exists.

The Lexus LX is getting a hybrid option for 2025, they added the electric motor to the turbo V6. The GX is also supposed to get a hybrid option. Most think they will offer the LC turbo4 hybrid. All of the other Lexus hybrid options cost more but add power and fuel efficiency. While the LC power plant would add fuel efficiency, it's way down on power compared to the V6 turbo. Will Lexus instead offer a detuned V6 turbo hybrid in the GX? The current V6 is detuned from the same engine in the LX (the bigger/more expensive platform has to have more power), so a similar detuned V6 turbo hybrid would make sense.
Lexus feels more power and less fuel efficiency is what their customers want. Yes. Lexus, build me a Tacoma (Pro) with a turbo V6 hybrid with your badging. I will buy it.

What would be the point in a 550 with an LC powerplant?

Being that they’re already the same vehicle, the decision to buy the LC would be a no-brainer.

Tundra Capstone is essentially a Lexus truck.
