I totally understand. I am on a first name basis with two Toyota sales GM’s at two different dealers. I get good discounts on new vehicle purchases. I am not in the service bay very often.

I have never purchased a Lexus. Therefore no history. My girl is a BMW babe so even though I have tried to buy her several Lexus, she scoffed at the idea. She drives a fancy 2024 BMW X5 now, though I tried to put her in a Lexus GX 550.

The Lexus folks treated us like dirt when we were trying to order a GX 550 like I wanted. The BMW folks treated us like royalty and we had our order in six weeks.

I recognize the GX was the hot new thing, and still is in my zip code, but the Lexus sales folks can kiss my ass.

Pretty much everything. I had a 2009 SR5 to a 2024 TRD Off road. The ride is nice. Still getting use to the motor and transmission. Also I surprisingly had trouble figuring out cruise control haha

From what I could tell, yeah but I haven't really gave it the onion yet. But from San Antonio to west Texas, it took the few hills there are very good vs my '09 at a constant 3K

Has anyone noticed that both braking action and braking modulation (i.e. how finely you can set the brake application with your foot) have been improved on the Gen 4 by a significant amount?

I've been on two Gen 4 test drives and noticed it on both.

Do you think the "Pro-Runner" will make it to production?

The new LC interior seems higher quality than the Tacoma Pro or Limited interior. Whether it’s a Lexus badge or a Capstone, I would have liked to have had something nicer on the Tacoma.

There’s a chance of it making production. Since it will be more of a Baja capable Tacoma over the Pro.

Anyone think this Land Cruiser R.O.X will actually be in production? Something I want to see more is the mid gate this has. What are people’s thoughts on this truck?

Agreed. The LC interior felt much more solid than the Tundra and the Tacoma. The LC Felt closer to my 4Runner. It gives me hope that the 6th Gen 4Runner will feel more solid than the Taco and more like the LC, but not too much hope given the interiors are identical now.

In my opinion, the Tacoma (and all mid-size trucks) are too small and the Tundra (and all full-size trucks) are too big. Since the Tundra isn't a sales leader, kill it and introduce an LC truck that is sized right in between. Offer a budget "1958" model, a standard model, and something Lexus-level. Of course with PHEV turbo V6.
