You don’t need the subscription. You get the first month free with the adaptor purchase. Just cancel the subscription before the end of the first 30 days.

After reading all of the reviews, good and bad, many are saying you don’t get that first month free like is advertised with that said other said it was a one time fee of $29 for a year subscription and not 14.99 a month so it’s hard to make heads or tails although if you’re wanting to modifyThings within your vehicle, they do sound pretty useful. The seatbelt dinging probably being number one.
What’s $60 altogether still isn’t that bad considering the one from the dealership is like 200+ kinda like their stupid dash cam which was severely overpriced at 500 leaving me to buy a Garmin mini 3 for 129 which I’m much happier with

The first month is free. Make the desired changes and dump the subscription.

Likely will default to factory settings if battery is disconnected. So first time you need a new battery or disconnect for any electrical mod or repair, you'll lose the settings. But I'm just guessing. No idea.

Well, maybe not the same thing but I disabled my seat belt beep and lock door beep but after battery disconnect everything went back to previous settings and had to reset the beep disable again

I dont do much offroading but we have had a fair bit of snow the past few days. I have been switching between 2h and 4h a fair bit. Why does it change smoothe most times but the odd time it makes a slight clunk? Thanks in advance.

Probably because you've got a bit of torque still on the drive line.

I paid $263.95 for it almost exactly 10 years ago to this day.

That $425 is because it’s a 3 stage paint not because it’s a special option that will only be available in the OR and Sport models for only year. The Terra option this year is not an up-charge because it’s a 2 stage paint but it will be gone next year.

I’m pretty sure the Bronze Oxide is considered a standard color for the new generation Tacoma, at least for a few years. The Trailhunter is a new trim so how they handle those colors is unknown at the moment. As far as the TRD Pro goes, it’s one year on the Pro, one year on OR and Sport. It’s been that way for many years now.

Solar Octane, Wind Chill Pearl and Supersonic Red had a $425 charge.

Didn't Lunar Rock stick around for 2 years after it was an exclusive TRD Pro color for 2021? I swear I saw some 2023 Taco LR's floating around. If it's popular maybe Terra can be a 3 year run.

Isn't that the definition of special? Not the option, but the paint itself?

I've heard that the quality of the paint jobs on almost all modern vehicles, including Toyota, is very low. Super thin and even bare metal in some spots where the 'bots were never programmed correctly.

Could be true. But also concours points systems for many cars include unpainted areas and poor paint application depending on the factory from the good old days. unless you’re paying unfathomable money, the paint is not likely to be perfect, and never really has been

mine is pretty solid. Only noticed one dot of dust inclusion in my first run of waxing
