That and the premium you usually have to pay to buy a 1st year next gen vehicle. Look at TRD Pro, Ford Bronco and most EVs. You are going to pay a premium above MSRP.

The Guanajuato plant was designed by Toyota specifically to assemble TNGA platform vehicles. Should be few growing pains at what is currently Toyota’s highest quality plant in North America.
For the past couple of years, that’s where any non-DCSB was built.

    I don't gamble.

Accessories if available from the manufacturer and added to the final sale price are part of the purchasing price.

I think a 4th gen TRD Pro auto with nothing added will MSRP for $62,000.00. That's before the premium paint charge on the ones that aren't black, white, or gray and floor mats.

I think it depends how the new Pilot, and Grand Highlander sell. Before Toyota decides if there will be a 6th gen 4Runner. If the FWD larger midsize vehicles sell well Toyota won't be building a 6th gen 4Runner. Toyota will sell the 5th gen 4R until it's no longer profitable. Lexus will have the next gen GX for people who want a midsize BOF RWD bias 4x4 Toyota, which is a shrinking demographic. With turbos, hybrids and electronic transfer cases becoming the norm.

Toyota has the new Sequioa, which I'm thinking depending how well it sells will be the determining factor for what Toyota does with the 4Runner.

Not only accessories but unnecessary dealer markup. A dealer right near me has about 11k of "dealer adjustment" on a 2023 trd pro.

You haven’t kept any of your trucks long enough for any problems to arise. :)

He said fit and finish my dude, and I got to experience alot of the first quirks and issues, like whistling control arms, replaced diffs, squeaking speaker trim, etc (my 16 and 17). Had my 2020 for 50k miles.

For sure, I remember how hard it was to get 3rd Gen initial allocations when they first dropped, the community and ownership has grown drastically, people will line up to have the new 4th gen and will pay, guarantee.

I was talking about odd panel alignments hood/headlight/front fenders and bumpers that are a different shade of the same color as the rest of the truck. Which are happening on the later trucks 2020 and newer.

If Toyota is experiencing this on the outgoing platform. What can be expected for the new platform, where people are expressing concerns of an all new model?

Misaligned beds, bumpers, and paint issues have been around prior to COVID, there's threads dedicated to these issues. Check the MGM thread, guys had doors that didnt match in certain lights. Look at the SW paint issues, theres tons of early third gen guys with poor bumper alignment and even the bed was off.

Mark ups are crazy if people want to pay that's fine. Ford dealers mark up the Raptors, but I think that is to help move the $80 and $90k regular F-150s

    People will gladly pay it.

Yes those have always been issues, hell the whole entire driver's side of the truck sits lower than the passenger side.

There seems to be more of that post pandemic. Dark gray seems to be an issue to match no matter what manufacturer. GM's white paint falls off their vehicles.

We’re talking about a reasonably priced midsize truck here. It’s not a Ferrari.

Your EPA has made it very difficult to sell vehicles with older technology like that found on the 15+ year old drivetrain in the Runner.
The emissions rules get more strict every year from 2023 to 2026, so I think the 4.0 L engine is as dead as the 426 Hemi.

Expect to see the 4th gen Tacoma and the new Runner show up at the same launch event.

So you're saying the Tacoma isn't coming out later this year? The 4runner is definitely not being shown this year according to several sources and speculation.
