It is sharing the same platform, along with all of their models including the Lexus and Land Cruisers and I don't see them moving them there. That would be a disaster

Unfortunately there are many of them. Or they have too much money and they don't care.

You can still see the pinch weld, unless that's a 3rd gen cab under there. Does the new Tundra have the pinch weld where it's easily seen? I presume all truck cabs are built with a pinch weld, but I don't notice as much on other makes. It don't bother me.

I saw a load of Yotas going down the road this morning, might have been all trucks the Solar Octane Tundra, and Sequioa on there really stood out.

Is it just me or does that truck look bigger compared to the other prototypes that have been spotted?

    Would non-generation-change models be muled?

For example, if 2024 is going to be a Gen 3, would there be 2024 mules?

    Roger.

And I don’t reckon we’d be seeing this much mule activity if we were 2-3 years out.

Good point. My buddy is a GM of a big Toyota dealer in Vancouver. He says he would guess late 2024 as a 2025 model. Take that with a grain of salt.

Toyota might think the people who are interested in the new Sequioa, might be the same people who will walk in and buy a RAV4, or Highlander.

I recently seen a Toyota advertisement featuring a new Sequioa, at the end of the ad they mention what ever finance incentives are currently available for Rav and HL.

He mentions the pending 4th gen Tacoma near the end in terms of the direction the Tundra and the Sequoia went. He's also not a fan of the 2016-2018 model years of Tacoma.

My interpretation/takeaway from his vid is this. If you really want an old school Tacoma get a 2019-2023 MY with all the bugs worked out and really take note that Toyota is moving away from this "old school" platform. He speculates that the upcoming 4th gen.... his words..... "The new one will most likely not be like that." Otherwise, expect a "new" direction with the new 4th gen Tacoma and any teething problems that come along with it.
