So like all his videos he takes 25 minutes to say next to nothing?

I remember his oil consumption video. 20 minutes to say “low tension oil control rings.”

Too bad if the rumor for a 4 cylinder turbo is true? Yuck.
    I'm keeping my trouble-free 2011 Tacoma V6.

I have heard some rumblings that the Gen 4 might grow a little bit. Not sure what my feelings are on that, assuming it's true.

I would guess it will grow a few inches here and there.

    50 x 200 = 10,000 which means at least 5 more horsepower. Excellent!

Those poor baxters who get scoopless Off-Roads with manual transmissions will be so jealous.

all for it but the 4cyl turbo and hybrid i dunno....

4th gen with same 3.5l with hybrid id buy it

but i bought a 23 trd off-road so im probably just gonna drive and enjoy my truck and probably the last of the easy 300k mile trucks

Where did you hear this from? A thread posted on the Tacoma4g forum suggests otherwise.

"In this article (paywalled) about Toyota considering a smaller pickup to battle the Maverick and Santa Fe, an executive at Toyota North America reveals that the next Tacoma won't grow in size.

Hollis — who himself introduced the Toyota A-BAT concept compact unibody pickup at the 2008 Detroit auto show — told Automotive News last week at Toyota Motor North America headquarters here that the Japanese automaker has "continued to look" at the small-truck segment that Ford and Hyundai now occupy, "and we've continued to look for a long time." He said the redesigned Tacoma, due in dealerships next year, is not going to get larger, even as it follows the Tundra full-size pickup and Sequoia large SUV onto Toyota's new global F1 body-on-frame platform."

I’m going to predict right now that truck will be around 3” longer and rear seat will not gain more than 1”. The extra length will be in the front fascia to allow for safety systems. I think the Tacoma will follow the Tundra in those regards as well as interior/exterior styling characteristics. I have a 23 Tundra and do think it’s a great truck. However, it has no charm and very little fun factor.

Right there with you! Keeping my 2017 4R for the long haul. It’s going to be nice to get a Tacoma again as well to keep it company!

interesting Vid. Assuming those renders are accurate I think the styling is a win. As for the 4 engines he mentioned - I don't think they will offer too many engine options based on their desire to simply production.

    Great thread. So much angst.

This used to be my line of thinking as well, it makes too much sense IMO.

But,,,,,, I have heard that it may not be the case. The video linked last page touches on it a bit, but I am now leaning towards multiple options after doing some ReSeArCh lol, so who knows.
