Speaking of Chester, the grille on that thing really is the horse's ass. Just when I thought that ghastly "spindle" grille couldn't get any worse. And the glass panels on the D-pillars, really? That fad will be out of fashion in a year.

Yes, the MT will go away.

The only thing I've truly learned from this thread is I hate the term "design language."

Lets not forget this Abomination uses a 6 speed auto while the entire world has moved on from that setup 20 years ago.

The inline 6 turbo charged B58 is an insanely perfect motor to "replace" the older Supra motor with.

I have one in my other vehicle, an X3 M40i, and it makes that 4400lb beast feel weightless...like a sports car.
Smooth, immediate and wide powerband...seemingly endless acceleration to 200km/hr and above.

I can't imagine what it must be like in the new Supra at 3300lbs...mind melting performance.
    I'd lose my license.

No proof at all, just a guess. There's no reason for Toyo to keep offering it if it's in such a minority.

Yes. That's why Toyota partnered with BMW for the Supra - the chief engineer wanted an inline-6, and Toyota didn't have such an engine in-house.

Toyota: What's this "4th gen" you speak of? Nothing to see here.

That Ultrasuede probably deteriorates pretty quickly if not maintained meticulously. I don't have much use for a compact sports car whether it be a GR Corolla, or a Mazda MX-5 RF.

Not a fan of the grill Toyota could find a way to incorporate a heritage style grill. I do like the Tundra/Sequioa Pro grill, even though the lettering is to big. The new Pilot Trailsport has the best looking grill IMO. The floating roof isn't big on my list of likes.

I don't know what other term to use. I don't dislike 5G T4R, 3G Tacoma, or 3G Tundra, and what will probably carry over to 4G Tacoma DL based on renderings it is getting a bit radical for my taste, but I would like to see something different going forward with Toyota trucks. Maybe if Toyota goes compact, they could try something different and incorporate some round headlights while they're at it.

4th gen will probably be a 6spd. I don't think they are going to use the 10spd auto from Tundra and Sequioa. I doubt if they have an all new auto in the works. Maybe they'll use the 9spd Jatco found in the Frontier?

The probability of a manual is about as likely as the 6th gen 4Runner IMO which ever way Toyota decides to go. I don't think Toyota is concerned about competing with Bronco or Jeep in the OR manual market space. Even though Tocoma manuals sell well. Toyota also builds and sells more Limited 4Runners than any other models, based on my online new T4R shopping experience.

We had that in the X4 variant. It kept up with my Macan S in a straight line. Great sounding too. Not as good as the Macan, but very BMW’esque.

I could never find a definitive answer and so Ive been putting 93 in hers as the manual calls for it, but the forums many use just good old 87.

Oh Dubai, was wondering why it was LHD. Why does Toyota want to take up interior space with those bulky consoles, that area between the dash and console could be removed unless it's necessary for some reason.

    depends

there's no apparent logic to it

Hybrid Lexus (older generations) can ALL use regular gas for sure

Same 2GR-FKS on Lexus ES 350 can use regular, but on IS 350 premium required

    GX460 drinks premium too

the low take rate is also influenced by the fact that Toyota specifically excludes the manual from many models. I suspect it would be well over 10% if Toyota offered it across all trim levels and specifically in a DCLB configuration. I am a manual guy til I die, but sometimes wonder if I could live with the autotragic if I could get a LB. I wonder how many others made three in the towel and just got the AT…

I'd buy double cab long bed in 6MT for sure if they made such configuration, I am still wondering if I should find a access cab long bed 6MT during this quickly diminishing window of 3rd gen production
