12 years huh? That's worse that means the trajectory of 300 years is right on course. 2036 and the free world will be gone. Once automotive manufacturering vacates these shores that's it. Mass EV adoption will never take place here, it's not supposed to. All EV are designed to be sold in emerging markets. Telsa lowered their prices in the US because of market pressure in China not the US, prices over there were also lowered due to competition, they have no competition here Tesla has to get their numbers up globally and selling more units stateside is the only way to keep up.

Domestic EV manufacturers don't plan on building any EV to the scale of their ICE products. Look at how many they actually build, these vehicles are for emerging markets.

Look at Toyota they don't want anything to do with EV. They moved their entire Tacoma production to Mexico, an emerging market. Where Tacoma sales will eventually surpass US sales. Look at how mauch other vehicle manufacturing has moved south of the border. Manufacturing of vehicles is leaving and will not return, much like steel manufacturing a key component to the production of vehicles.

The writing is on the wall, there's a primetime network sitcom aimed at poking fun of the US auto manufacturer. Don't forget the chip shortage that isn't going to end, look at the past few years at what has happened to the automotive sector, between shortages and product quality. Try and be more woke would you.

This - as somebody who's wife owns a new Lexus NX450h, I can tell you that motor gets up and goes. I think the North America crowd will be very happy with the 2.4L turbo A25A in the Tacoma

Much better power & torque than any Tacoma I've owned to date and I've owned all three Tacoma motors, albeit the 1st gen motor was in a 3G T4R.

Yep, said this before, as my wife has a new RXh, much better experience than my Taco.

And my Texas ‘18 with 75k on it will be right there too. Maybe parked next to whatever ev/phev/hybrid/solar option is being sold.

If the Gen 4 gets delayed until MY25 or MY26, do they park the mules and put development in general on ice for a while, or does all that continue at full speed?

I don't see it getting delayed, seems like if anything they would fast-track it to try to get it to market sooner.

The A25A is the naturally aspirated 2.5 litre, hence the “25.” It is likely to appear in the A25A-FXS “usually Atkinson mode” version in a hybrid.

The T24A is the turbo 2.4 litre that could be an upgrade…all the more so if it came as a Hybrid Max.

True, had it ever been driven on sloppy, wet, salty and brine roads. I use my truck for hauling and towing not as a daily driver.

I have been on the lookout for a Crown Hybrid Max in my area and would likely check it out and hopefully test drive it if one shows up (it hasnt yet).

Quick and dirty brightening since they will be everywhere shortly.

Looks pretty neat, shouldn't be too much longer before they do a complete reveal.
