What are the chances we see the 4th Gen a year from now (2023 model year)?

I think 2024 has been confirmed. 2023 will still be 3rd gen

I think someone from toyota leaked it and it was reposted on TW awhile back. I'll try to find the post if I can

I think it was first with the new Tundra for 2022, then the new 4R for 2023, and finally the Tacoma in 2024.

I’m surprised that kind of information could make its way out of corporate. Unless it was intentional.

I also saw ‘24 as the “leaked” confirmed 4th gen release. If I remember correctly, that same post said the new 4Runner was ‘23.

Now I really want to see some leak pictures
    I believe it from @Carmaker1

"Tacoma though, I am 100% certain about when it launches, as that's definitely early 2024. From the head of prototyping for the 920B Program here in Detroit, to Tier 1 suppliers for 920B, industry forecasting by plant, and other Toyota personnel commenting, that's 1000000% a 2024 model."

Does it come with a ground clearance option?

I predict they announce an “all new” 2026 Tacoma in 2025. New frame, rear disc brakes finally, coil spring rear, larger interior with more headroom, an optional 12” touch screen, and a newish turbo 4cylinder that they’ll also put in the Sienna, Camry, and Highlander. Maybe a 2.5L? Making around 300hp/torque. 8-10 speed auto. Towing and payload will get a small bump to about 7100 lbs and 1250 lbs respectively. They’ll bump the prices up at least $10k for the 4th gens as well (assuming the inflation plateau’s soon)

That’s what I think, I look forward to seeing how correct I am

Might have less head room if Toyota follows their design trend of the new Tundra. I think the new Tundra lost head room, along with overall interior cabin space. I think the new Tundra also adopted the Tacoma's seating position.

2026 (model year) is too far away for me.

I think it will be sooner.

They're under a lot of pressure, despite the fact that Taco still sells.

That was a big factor in why I bought a Frontier. Good seating position and visibility are under rated!

Does the Frontier have as much power as it has on paper?

Haven't driven a 3rd gen Frontier yet. I own a 2nd gen, cab structure is the same. Love the 4.0L and 6spd in my truck, very responsive and more than enough power.

Is the current thinking that the 2023 4Runner and the 2024/2025 Taco will have the Lexus NX 2.5 liter turbo engine?
