There are a bunch of ARB products already up for the 23s, assuming they’ll carry over to the 24s.

Don’t think those were there last year, getting ready for the Trail Hunter package.

Thinking it will be just ARB products since they already pictured one of the teasers with it.

TH package with ARB accessories, which you could buy separately for any trim if so inclined.

same. I have loved my 2nd gen long bed. slept many nights in there and if i didnt have it, i'd probably be inclined to get a RTT. But this setup has worked great for me. Stoked on 4th gen having this option

I think seat count goes into some federal calculation hopper that spits out taxes, credits, and other factors impacting Toyota’s financials and decisions.

Yeah that is what I figured, all those plus fuel regs. Why single cabs have mostly disappeared. They did something similar back in the 80s, but opposite. A lot of the base 4Runners didn’t come with a rear seat to get around import laws. Something about it not being a passenger vehicle, and solely for utility. My ‘85 was like that.

IIRC the Subaru Brat back then had seats in the bed to get around some kind of regulation.

Trailhunter looks like a cool way to market and sell more long bed crew cabs that otherwise might collect dust on dealer lots. I would still expect that the next TRD Pro with its shorter wheelbase will still be the top off-road dog.

These recent profile shots illustrate that Toyota is serious about crushing GM like a very small bug by offering a variety of cab/bed configurations. Crazy that they share platforms, b/c while Tundra gets sand kicked in its face daily, this new Tacoma looks like it could actually open up even more market share than it already has.

Ironically I did put a rear seat in that 4Runner. Some how always ended up playing taxi hauling friends around. That and the top came off, that was fun! Girls loved it.

No need for rear seats these days. ha!

Yes, and they also posted Hawaii time. Makes you wonder if they are doing a live reveal from one of the islands

How much better will the ride (likely) be in a Gen 4 versus a Gen 2?

Well, I didn’t think it would be 4 oodles better, but definitely better than 3.
