The Cyber Truck is not a truck, it’s an El Camino that identifies as a door stop…

This guy hated on the 2.4t in the Highlander. I think the jury will be out on this power plant for a very long time. Personally would just wait for the hybrid or PHEV if it ever happens.

I haven’t driven the 2.5l hybrid so I can’t compare, but his take on the 2.4l vs the v6 is garbage. I’ve owned both a 2009 with the 2gr-fe and a 17 with the fks variant. The everyday drivability is hands down much better with the 2.4l. The low end torque is much more noticeable than the loss of hp on the top end. You really only access that hp at peak rpm regardless.

Will it come in at a starting price near a modestly appointed 4G? I’m leaning towards yes.

Maybe the single motor rwd variant, the dual motor will probably be north of $50k, and the tri motor will probably be 70k plus. I think only hardcore Tesla fans will buy it, the styling is too divisive and the truck market is too competitive. If I asked a five year old to draw a truck this is what he would come up with.

As much as I love the illustrations of Syd Mead, that thing looks like a hot mess, typical Tesla product. No way in hell would I give any money to Musk, for a guy who wants to save humanity, he sure is an ass to people. Just another fraudster financed by his family and the government.

Selling a lifestyle of excess isn’t doing the planet any good. All it does is fill his coffers.

It is clearly a nod to Syd Mead, just not as elegant. Typical Musk the thievery then claiming it as his own.

If the price is reasonable I’d buy one of those shiny door wedges over an overpriced Toyota.

It does make total sense. I want just one system to maintain and repair.

If the specs are correct then it’s pretty awesome even though it’s hideous. 3500 lb payload, 14,000 pounds towing, 500 mile range.

Or be a sensible person and buy a F150…with the V8.

Syd influenced a lot of designers.

If you don’t need the loaded towing range, it would be nonsensical to buy an f150 instead. Even if the cost per mile is double that of a model 3, it’s still vastly cheaper to own and operate a CT.

I just wouldn’t buy it because it’s dorky as fuck

They will outsell Tacomas by a large measure.
