Gen4 is actually a very, very handsome truck, we just don’t see it yet. Great design masterpieces need time, and this one’s in its caterpillar stage.

Sure it’s ugly now, but trust me that you’ll absolutely love the way it looks in 2049.

Taco Tuesday is upon us, chances of pricing being release today or next Tuesday? Chances as good as Aaron Rodgers playing Sunday.

I think Gen4 pricing is still very fluid right now. Seems like Toyota might prefer to show their hand later rather than sooner.

And if a UAW strike severs the production of two of Tacoma’s biggest competitors, that may also have an effect.

That’s impressive. Those rangers were pretty reliable, low tech trucks. I bet it’s still on its first frame too.

Rodgers may be healed and playing before we can actually buy one of these trucks. :D

They are out there, owners tend not to brag like Toyota fan boys. An old girlfriend had one, she beat the hell out of hers, had a couple hundred thousand on it, rarely changed the oil, it keep going and going, until one day she wrecked it.

Toyota keeps on making them uglier and uglier, yet we are telling ourselves….well it “should” be reliable, so looks shouldn’t matter then. Keep on trying to like both the new Tacoma and Tundra, not sure I could spend that type of coin on something I find repulsive. Especially since this new platform’s reliably is unknown at this point. We won’t know for years and years, when they have at least have a couple hundred thousand miles on the clock.

I think the old Rangers were pretty solid little trucks too, low tech stuff usually lasts a long time.

judging by the fact its shape exactly matches the shadow and the fact that the concept next to it ended up exactly matching the 4th gen Tacoma, I’d say that’s pretty much it.

About where I stand. Guided a lot by the prices of vehicles and the torturous process of closing a car deal post pandemic.

Also feel if I’m parting with 50k+ and waiting what would largely be considered custom build wait times, I’d expect something that’s not only a good fit, but extraordinary.

Still interested in the new taco. Excited about the turbo hybrid. But also see myself gravitating toward placing a deposit on a 24 Landcruiser since it’s one of the only new vehicles that I legitimately lust over.

Alternatively, if Tundras start piling up, Im sure I’d be happy if could find a SR5 4x4 crew on the lot. Because again, I’m not going to wait 3-6 months for a basic vehicle as if it’s some coveted rare model.

I know this is way off topic but went to Toyota on my lunch break. I have an 18 Tacoma and the 2 long roof weather stripping are starting to fade. They wanted $220 Cdn each for them I thought I was about to have a heart attack.

Looking to upgrade in 2-3 years, can’t say I am overly excited about the 4G Tacoma. The Land Cruiser sure does make question how much a really need a truck. Think both are going to sell like hotcakes and will be about impossible to get at a reasonable price.

Dunno, wife keeps on threatening that we hit the road in 2-3 years. Neither the 4G or the Land Cruiser will be enough to tow the travel trailer we are looking at. So not even sure they’ll be on the list. Maybe a Tundra??? maybe by then I’ll get over that god awful grill. It does drive awfully nice though, hard to look at though.

That or jump the Toyota ship and buy a Ford.

Looks the same as the out going version and the one before that. I do like the new front bumper over the 14th gen.
