Yeah it is a kind of a pain in the neck, one of my AZ buddies was up here a couple years ago. We took his rig down the mountain to another trail system trailering the bikes. Had to go rescue a broken bike, unload the camper and such. Got me thinking it wasn’t the best setup for what we do. He usually brings his trailer, was grumbling that he didn’t.

Fun making ourselves nuts weighing the pros and cons. Kinda like all this midsize vs full vs suv. Ya know!? lol!

We do have that. Understand your concerns, have them myself. Real hard leaving the brand even with the known flaws. Usually comes down to “well… it is a Toyota!”

Oh I am well aware, I am going back and forth on a which rv is best for us set up as well. It's tough because all of them have pluses and minuses. I think if I already had the truck to haul it, a truck camper would be the one for me, but any of them I would want will require a different truck at this time.

So I'm kind of at a teardrop/lightweight with toilet that the Tacoma can tow for now kinda setup. I think realistically with the different kinds of trips I take and the other trips we take, I will eventually end up with two different setups. Lightweight for my solo fishing excursions and a bigger one for the two of us.

I do like those Alaskan Camper setups, its good to see they have upgraded some of the features.

I techinically dont need a new truck or full size, a full size would be nice with kid on the way, hauling bike to track, etc. day to day not so much. Dont need a new taco either but would be cool to get all the updates. I was just saying for mid to high 50k mark you can start looking at alot of different options outside mid size.

Yeah but they are also pretty boring and utilitarian. If I was going to trade in before warranty was up I’d get something more exciting.

There are stories on this site of Tacomas engines blowing just over 60K and Toyota doing nothing.

I was driving next to a Hummer EV SUV this morning. The thing is massive and awesome. That would make a great kid hauler for you.

It screams alot of things to me, so hard no, no bed, also not in my price range by any stretch of the imagination.

But you’ll save so much money on fuel and also save the environment for Opecity.

Dont those have battery issues and extremely heavy and not accurate empg, again no thanks. And you have me pegged for someone else. I ride dirt bikes and live in a state that doesnt recycle or regulate landfills.

One aspect of keeping a Tacoma is the forums. All the other truck forums are poopy.

Speaking of trading cars. The trade values are shit right now. I did trade the Tacoma in on the GX that my wife swiftly stole from me. But I am selling the 4Runner to Vroom or maybe try private party. Bought my replacement GX today straight up no trade involved.

While driving the 4Runner today I thought it was maybe a stupid idea to be getting rid of it since it is such a nice vehicle. Then I heard this voice...like an angel...

After looking at your GX I started looking at Nori Green ones. Found 2 for a decent price, checked one again today and they increased the price $3,000! Ha!

My wife is a physical therapist. Let me ask her about your theory. Let me know if you can hear her laughing all the way in Canada.
