Lots of diesel Rams running around here, like a shocking amount. Mostly ranch trucks that get worked hard.

The fix for that recall is a software update. Doesn’t seem like much of a big deal.

Is it the same fire risk recall that the rav4 prime is under right now?

All vehicles will end up in the salvage yard, some sooner than others…

Doesn’t sound too bad, other than it likes to consume oil.

Dunno, all manufacturers make me nervous to spend money on any of them. All expensive ticking time bombs.

The reman they put in my 1st Gen, came with an oil pump for a T100, (oil pan is different) had to change that out, plus it had oil leak. Not confidence inspiring. Not assembled by Toyota either, since they don’t do crate engines.

Don’t trust that $15K engine install in the least…(was cheaper than a new vehicle though so there is that…)

The one dirt bike buddy who owns the F150, said he is getting a Tundra next because more parts are made in the USA.

Dunno, think they are all crap and too flipping expensive. lol!

Waste gates and crank bearings I hear.

Dunno, seems like we can’t win for loosing these days. Buy new, off it before the warranty is up! @TacoBuffet might be on to something. :)

I wish the seats and ride were more comfy in that thing, or maybe for the sake of my wallet I don't.
That powertrain is just beautiful, I much prefer it over the Ecoboost Expedition Max and 10 speed I rented. Toyota did great on their V6 10 speed combo.

I hope the Tacoma is comfy

Weird, found the Tundra to be quite comfortable and drove like a car. Almost came home with one the other month, but came to my senses. Quite like both the Ecoboosts V6s and 5.0 V8 in the Ford’s, but prefer the ergonomics of the Toyotas better.

Also find my 3rd Gen very comfortable, while most hate it. Everyone’s butt dyno is different. Great that we have so many choices out there, ya know?

I think the Tundra seats are recycled concrete park benches covered in fabric, but the 3rd gen Tacoma seats are much better

Think they are just new. My 3rd Gen was fairly stiff until it broke in. Though I prefer stiffer seats, the 4Runner SR5 seats I have in my 1st Gen are fairly soft, don’t care for them as much.

That’s because your Toyota fan boi ears block out any Toyota issues. :D
We had pages of comments about their engines seizing up a few weeks ago right here in this thread.
