I4 easier to work on. Plugs, injectors, half as many cams, chains etc. turbo is a question - but otherwise should be better long term.

Now turn this around. Why should your anecdotal ideas matter to anyone else?

For a guy who just wanted everyone to listen to his opinion, you sure can’t seem to take much criticism of that opinion

And as soon as someone pushed back you reply with “well I’ll cut myself off from my thoughts.”

seems like the “or not” bothers you a bit

I’m starting to think that maybe you shouldn’t buy a ‘24 Tacoma

You know nobody who knows anything about that, but I’m glad your new screen name is working out.

The exterior door handles look large. I don't think that counts as an issue. I can't recall if those are shared with the tundra or not.

No. If I had one I wouldn't expect any problems. When a normal problem appears, even a simple error message I'd be more concerned because I'm not expecting any problems.

I should get to work but that made me chuckle.

At a high level Toyota is making 7 vehicles on TGNA-F or 8 if you divide the J250 by the two brands. Even with that and other niche vehicles they've not tended to have the too much overlap or too much choice mistake some firms do. It also seems rare when they make a radical change to a platform in mid life. When they make a low volume vehicle like Crown Signia wagon or the USA 250 Land Cruiser sharing so much with 4Runner they seem to target a market niche more than satisfy dealer franchising.

To me it looks like 4Runners on lots soon gives them the rounded out TGNA-F platform. A V6 Tacoma would seem to muddy up the line and likely be very low volume.

I have 26k km on my 24 offroad manual. This is my 6th Tacoma and so far the best of the bunch. If anything my only 2 problems if you can call them that is the tpms switching to the trip meter and the bed side cover caps lifting a half inch or so.
