Price doesn't matter if you only drive a manual then that's what you want. I hope they offer manual with any upcoming generations of Tacoma or at least start giving the option to have it ordered that way.

@V30FtFall, I think what @maxmk8 is trying to say is, Toyota doesn't take orders. What you can do is put a deposit down on a specific vehicle (you know, options and colors and such), and then the dealership will try and get you what you've asked for, but no guarantees. Last year I put a deposit down on a specific Tacoma in February and August the dealership called me and let me know they'd gotten an allocation for the exact vehicle, except for the color; I requested Blue Crush and the allocation was for Barcelona Red; I jumped on the allocation.

If you have a 2023 AC TRD OFF ROAD 6 sp manual, I’d like to consider buyers by it. We can’t get them down here in the USA.

Big question I mean massive is….. pause for effect…. Does the new manual have an electronic clutch??? I have the hydro in my 22 OR and it leaves a lot to be desired as far as shifting… for instance I test drove a new Wrx and that clutch feels amazing, and I have driven the old Wrx hydraulic clutch and it felt just like my taco does now. Can I get a witness?

I don’t - mine’s a double cab pro. I think half the guys on here have considered moving to Canada just to get one of those. Sounds like it’s not in the cards for the 4th gen though

Anyone know if Toyota has made any announcement about the Canadian version of the Off Road having the option to come in manual transmission?

Since they took away the Pro from having the manual, hoping there will still be a choice to get close to ‘top of the line’ options (locker, cameras etc.) with the stick shift!

With all the press releases toyota has had, they have not indicated anything other than a traditional hydro clutch. And unless I’m mistaken, the WRX you drove either had a regular hydro clutch or their “new” CVT that has fake gears programmed into it…
Quick google shows no production cars with an electrically actuated clutch on a manual gearbox. I did see ford put in for a patent on the concept though.

I'm not sure anybody from Toyota's confirmed it for sure but it's looking that way. We might not know until the full specs come out.

Hey everybody. So I understand manual will be available with TRD OR/Sport as well as SR. Has anyone found a chart or info regarding the availability of 4x4 with SR and manual? If so I would appreciate if you could post it. I’d love a base model with 4x4 and manual but I have a feeling that they are just gonna give us 4x2 SR with 6MT and charge us $40k lol any relevant info is appreciated!

think it's just going to be 4x2. I would think they are going to offer a plain offroad version stripped down but it's going to be a stretch for people who wanted the base base SR setup.

I'm thinking the manual SR will be 4x4.

With the stick relegated to the lower trim I can’t help but wonder the the 3rd gen 6MT is going to end up a more desirable option?
