I'm old, I figure I have no more than 30 or so years left before I go Tango Uniform; the way I figure it, I have a 2022 Tacoma 6MT, I have a deposit down on GR Corolla (only available with a 6MT), and if I decide I like the Gen4 Tacoma, I'll trade up to one. After that, yeah, maybe a new Cayman or something; otherwise, classic cars only for my garage.

Where has it been confirmed 4Runner will offer manual? I missed it, can’t find it anywhere but would be cool.

I saw an article on Yahoo News one day that mentioned it, but that source isn't exactly something you could count on. However it does make sense as it will share the Tacoma platform and possibly have a trim level to compete with the Bronco and Wrangler.

Not confirmed yet but you figure it’ll have the same automatic powertrain as the Tacoma so there’s a fighting chance

Ford brought it back in the Bronco and Jeep still offers it in the Wrangler (current clutch issues not withstanding) so maybe Toyota will step up and surprise us. The Supra got one, the Tacoma’s confirmed and the GR Corolla exists, so it’s not impossible to think they’d keep it

The 4R might get rear leaf springs, if Toyota is cutting costs. The LC 250 already has the 4 link if that's what people want out of their SUV. Toyota ditched the IRS on the new Sequioa to stay close in design with Tundra. The lower output engines could also be the only option for 4R again if Toyota wants to keep the price down. 6G will still cost more than any 5G, Sequioa certainly saw a price jump from the previous generation.
