well adm at ccn prefers 5k oil changes. from what i have seen on the tundra, going 5k is about that what the limit is from what results some people have gotten back on blackstone. yes you can go 10k but thats mostly for toyota's benefit bean counter wise when you look at overall sales across the usa.

i personally went to 1.2k then at 5k then every 5k afterwards on our 23 tundra platinum.

but then again, we only have 6830 miles on ours after 15 months of ownership.

10k and even longer on my truck with over 230k miles. The Blackstone results were all stellar

Ok, answer I got was hundreds of tacomas in every direction you look. Keep in mind this is GST port so they could all be sitting there to get phone cables added.

Bummer, but glad you got your truck back. Toyota seems to do right for their customers

Thank you. At this point I'm concerned that this problem is going to pop back up again.

Do you think they installed old stock to hold it over or do you think it's a bigger problem?

I haven't seen many posts with the lit up dash malfunction since the long QC hold. Picking up my OR this week so I got my fingers crossed.

The dealership wouldn't tell me if the new part I received was improved in any way over the one that broke, so that's not good.

I don't think there's been sufficient time to figure out what the failure point is, much less for a product redesign/production/distribution to correct whatever is going wrong.

In case anyone else was thinking about trying this, these guys are typical dealership sleezebags pulling a bait and switch, don’t waste your time. I started the paperwork for a Limited- after being told I couldn’t put a deposit down for it because “only vehicles on the lot qualify for the 0%” (yeah right)- and when the salesman sent the paperwork, the truck was listed at full MSRP. I was told “We can’t combine the promotional interest rate with the dealer discount”. Funny how that’s not mentioned on the page listing.

Admittedly it is listed in the “View Disclaimer” under the offer page on the dealer site, but considering that I specifically told the salesman the exact truck for the advertised price I was looking for earlier this morning, I find it far more likely they were hoping I’d get caught up emotionally and buy it anyway. Glad I didn’t waste time driving up there. Can’t wait for the the day the entire dealership model burns to the ground as it rightly deserves

Time to keep waiting, the latter portion of the year is looking like an excellent time to strike

wow....well if it helps their service department went straight to suck last year as well. Just some deceptive stuff my last couple times with the Tacoma. I did buy my Tundra from them in the fall but I traded a Tacoma and paid cash so there wasn't any opportunity to jack with the numbers. I go elsewhere for any service. Funny the "in transit" ones had the 0% offer. Kind of not on the lot.

Strictly legally speaking, no it isn’t. Just typical dealer scum games. I wouldn’t trust a car salesman to tell me if it’s raining.

Correct, to be fair this is typically seen by the manufacturer not the dealer as the incentivized rate is provided through the MFG (dealer is not a bank). So when you see $10,000 off new Ram trucks OR 0% for 60 months Ram is basically buying down the rate with that rebate to get you 0%. When you do the math it's usually a wash on which is the better deal. If you sell it sooner than 60 months take the rebate. If you finance the entire amount and only make the monthly payment then the 0% is better to take. Dealers make more money not doing the 0% as they can make rate on you if you finance through conventional rates.
