READ above. I simply asked what year Tacoma he had (just out of curiosity), and he won't answer (whitch is odd) so I just assume he doesn't own one.

According to AutoRemarketing.com, 59% of buyers research vehicles. Not a great number honestly, and I'd argue that most of that research is basic and more so looking at styling and options vs digging into mechanical reliability, recalls, etc.

so you are telling me this forum has more than 20k active members ? i mean over a forum lifetime people come and go but not everyone stays active on this forum., heck i took like a 3-5 hiatus when we bought our 2018 tundra.

i mean 20k active members since the average yearly sales of a tacoma is over 200k for the last 6 yrs and close to 200k for the last 8 yrs.

This puts a lot of things in perspective if you know how to read it. The red line is the road to the top of the cliff for a lot of people.

i am not saying not researching, but as someone else pointed out, most of the buying public that toyota caters too dont put the detailed research into vehicles to buy them. forums maybe account to about 10% of what is bought from toyota from the dedicated forum people.

heck my wife has never seen a toyota forum and never will. she could care less about them. she see's what see like either through print, viewing ad's, picture sent by friend, etc and that is what influences her. not some yak thhat had 1300 pages of posts.

and i am pretty sure much of the general public is like that more so than we think cause i know toyota spends $$$ doing surveys and what not outside of forums to get a feel of what toyota buyers want than vs what we as forum members want.

key influencers help promote our voice like trd jon, ftl trucks, etc but ultimately the general public push what toyota puts in the main stream trims of models, and that is what toyota see's as the money makers (the mid trim of a model)

edit : look at the rav4, the best selling toyota the last few years and most of the trims sold in that model line are the xle

I am probably not reading it right.
But it looks like we are taking out more loans (credit included) and saving less.

So our options are, die before we can physically work no longer. Or die in the poor house.

Sounds like a good time to have a high risk high paying job.

Easiest way to read it is there are a lot of people debt financing to keep up their way of life instead of cutting back.

I did... Not sure why the SR in the video has this package at $1685, but even at $1500 for what is listed below is an absolute joke. Ford charges like $2k to upgrade to a twin turbo V6 on the Ranger.

Well, I can tell you that I now look for the off brand foods and clearance deals.
I can eat food out of date. Most of it is just a number. Of course, like anything you have to be within reasons.

Sometimes it’s good to be single. Because I do all my clothes AT ONCE the night before I run out of stuff to wear.

40k for a stripped down SR5 or 55k for an OR or Sport plus 8% financing rates will do that

I was in the market for a Ranger, ended up with an F-150. 1. Ranger production was very limited when I was buying, and Ford offered a much better rate in the F-150. I test drive a few Rangers, and I did like the driving dynamics of the Ranger over the F-150.
