First I owned a fantastic Tacoma Prerunner. Traded up for a Tundra V8 when I moved into the mountains and needed 4 WD and because it was a birthday gift to myself. Luxury leather to which I aded a Leer fiberglass with rear door for hunting and camping trips. I am 5'2" and had trouble, leverage-wise, in piling wood in the bed or loading my kayak on the roof (even with the use of a chain wheel step), so I had to switch. I went with the RAV4 sport and took out the back seats, but though the mileage was great - I ended up (like the rest of the nation) in financial distress, so... I traded down to pay off my debts. I now own a 1998 Tacoma 2WD that I love, cause it's slow and low like me and I can rough it up and load it up without worry. I bought it a few months ago with 34,000 miles. The base tire size shows 235/60R16; but the dealer sold it with 215/70R14. Ergo, it runs slower and I don't care.
I have now introduced myself and want to ask for advice, so I will do so on the forums. It has to do with buying some studded snow tires - probably Cooper M&S or their Mastercraft Ice buster. I live on a murderous windy hill. Any ideas - seek me in wheels forum. Tanx
