How can I disable or turn off the 4 wheel low range buzzer alarm, ON MY 2015 2nd Gen Tacoma
I know its in 4WLRange I put it there!!, dont need constant reminder alarm.
Only used occasionally in very rough off road situations.
indicator Light in dash is good enough to remind someone,,

I searched and did not find anything on it..

Its all good man. I don't know the answer, but my third generation shuts up when it is fully engaged.

You most likely aren't actually in 4lo. You need to stop the truck, put it in neutral, then put into 4lo. If it's buzzing and flashing, there's a problem and it's not actuating into 4lo. There should be instructions on your sunshade thingy

    It's an AT
Shift to N to engage 4lo

Checkers is correct. I’ve got a 2020 OR AT. Come to a stop, shift to Neutral (per owners manual) then switch to 4LO and it should work.

Your 3rd gen is not identical to 1st and 2nd gen 4WD. I can shift to 4 lo in any gear with clutch in.

AT needs to shift to N to go into 4LO.

MT just needs the clutch depressed.

This is true for 2nd and 3rd gens.

He was saying that you're wrong for stating it has to be in park.

Ok thanks for replies, I didn't put it in park, so it must not have went into low range 100% , it was in low gear, I could tell by how it was crawling, but i did not feel the tugging from the front axle as if it was not in 4wD completely , it did not feel like when in 4whigh range, you can tell front axle and t-case is engaged i,ve always had Clutches and Manual Tcase's, no issues with my older trucks. Want to make sure everything works prior to my dealership 1 yr warranty is up. So many Electronic gadgets now! I will try it out this weekend. thanks again for suggestions
