I let the clutch out and spun the rear tires while 4H was still engaging..
I heard a thunk, 4wd light flashing. when i got home after taking the transfer actuator apart and reinstalling a few times with no luck, i found the front dif actuator ohmed bad (1) (2) to the motor. i took it apart and found it had broken off its contacts. I soldered them back, removed and bench checked it. It ohm checked good after that and moved both ways with power supplied. plugged in to the truck it would not move. With both actuators installed would not make sound, light still flashing, I removed the motor part of transfer actuator and it powered both directions with power supply but would not power installed. i checked switches, and rod position and timed everything ohm checking everything good. I then back probed the 4wd ECU and found that I had reversed polarity at the transfer actuator keeping it driven into 2H. that led me to check the selector sw where i found the diodes in the selector blew. I wasn't sure the amp rating so i ordered replaced the whole sw. I installed it and blew those diode also reading (2.5 mega ohms -v- 1 ohm) I jumped the jack for the selector 5,4,2 to simulate 4H and got the correct polarity at the transfer actuator output of 4wd ECU finally. However the output from the ECU to diff actuator still in o Vlts and will not move. I've checked the signal wires to the ecu from both actuators already. Any ideas to why theres no out put to the ADD Dif actuator? or why the switches diodes are blowing? Its looking me that i may need to try an ECU. Any input would be great.

Check the wiring for a short circuit to ground downstream of the diodes.

thats been done, all good. The selector routes a ground to either 2H, 4LO or both at the same time to make 4H at the ECU. The ECU should then kick out power to front diff actuator if position reading are good and they are.. I'm trying to figure out what else to check before i replace the ECU. It's Jumpered to H4 now (at selector sw) because the second selector switch is bad, and still no output from the ECU to the front dif actuator.. All position wires from both actuators ohms correctly.. I wish there was a internal diagram of the 4wd ECU.. Anyone know what the skid ECU, or speed sensor input to the 4wd ECU do?

Thanks for the input. Its fixed now. I soldered dif actuator, replaced the motor/cover of the transfer actuator (from a junkyard tacoma), and replaced the diodes in the selector switch and it's all fixed.. I spent $210 total.
