4wd flashing HELP!

    My truck has done the exact same thing for a few months. I can get it into 4hi if I put the switch in 4hi and while the light is stuck flashing pull the fuse and it engages and reads 4lo on the indicator but it's a bitch to get back out. If anybody has a solution let me know.

    ? you pull a fuse to get it into L4?

    The light says its in 4lo but its just in 4hi. I have no idea why it works but I was trying to reset the system by pulling the fuse and as soon as it came out 4hi engaged :confused:

    Woah... old thread revival. Ended up being a bad actuator. Toyota replaced it free of cost. Sold the truck about 5 years ago, bought a 4runner, sold the 4runner last year, and am now in a Tacoma again :)

    Gotcha, sorry to hear you're having problems. I can't remember what the issue with the actuator was (ie. not getting power, or just plain broken). Hope you can get your situation resolved quickly
