So I got the 4wd lights to go off when I plug in the actuator without it in the axle, I think it wasn’t aligned on the sliding clutch, is there any special timing I need to do on this actuator? Or anything special when putting this back on?

The fork on the actuator needs to go into the sliding collar in the axle, other than that providing nobody has screwed up the internal timing it should be good.

Totally happened again, damn it. Went to try to use 4wd and it engaged in 4hi fine and 4lo but as I went to disengage it seemed to have a problem. 4lo flashed and beeped so I stopped then shut the truck off, keyed on and tried to shift to 2hi and I heard the actuators move and now both lights flash with no beeping again lol that front axle actuator seems to be screwing up but when I take it out it seems fine and works fine until I go to disengage it all the way

The beeping is usually when conditions aren't met to make a shift into or out of 4L (trans in neutral (A/T) or Clutch in (M/T) and speed under 3 MPH), when this happens you have to switch the switch back to the previous position and try again.

Not sure what's going on with the actuators without seeing what the limit switch voltages are doing when it acts up.

Seems like ur actuator are off .there not both timed correctly, either ur front actuator is engaged and ur transfer case isn’t or other way around . I had this happen . I changed both my actuator. With eBay parts . Works good now . . Won’t disengage if actuator aren’t on the same page . One of ur actuator is not not aligned with the other . That’s what I’m guessing .

I got it fixed for now, I just took the front actuator out and put it back in and it’s good now. I can put it into 4hi and 4lo and back to 2hi now while sitting in my driveway… it’s weird but maybe one is clocked funny… next time I try and if it happens again I’ll remove the transfer actuator (since I believe that is the only one that can be timed incorrectly really) and make sure it’s timed right.. super weird though since it seems to be engaging and disengaging just fine now
