4wd lite(red, not the green one) flashes and will not go out. 4wd works great.

Greetings. I have a 2014 4X4 that I bought new. Never had a problem. Recently, (after the service due lite came on) the red (not green)4x4 lite started flashing and will not go out. I tried engaging the 4x4 in and out, forward and reverse but it does not go out. The truck 4 wheel drive system works properly. Do I have a fuse blown or some sensor bad - or what. I hate taking a vehicle to the rip-off dealers.
