Weird. I use mine often, esp with the 2Lo Mod, and it is typically easy. Every once in a while, I'll get a flashing light.

There's nothing else there but the switch. Once the low range starts engaging, it forces it for all the actuator is worth.

I have no problem with it now, dont even think about it. But I've been doing it for 5 years now. I remember having the same problem as OP when I first got it though.

With my 18, it was a PITA to get into 4lo, at first, but the more you use it the easier it gets, mines an auto though

Maybe OP presses the clutch in harder when starting up than when shifting gears.
I know I get lazy at times and half clutch-half sync shift.
I am pretty careful moving in and out of 4Lo so idk.

I can shift back up to 4hi too quickly after stopping, and get the error buzzer.
I have to stop rolling completely and pause for second before it is ready to shift back into 4hi.

Try sliding your seat forward a bit... can help you to fully depress the clutch. Don't be in a hurry to get into or out of L4.

We who drive automatics get the buzzer a lot because we forget the needed step to put the tranny into Neutral! Makes me laugh when I hear the buzzer and think, oh ya, you dummy, N Neutral!
