    Oh wait

In all fairness , there is one situation Prerunners are better suited to , using lift spindles , they are better than 4x4's in that situation , I gotta give you that one , for everything else 4WD trucks are far more capable than 2WD trucks , there's no room for argument on that

Yea & I gotta give you the fact that 4wd makes you feel like you got bigger balls, congrats on that one! I mean, without 4wd, what would you do in a few inches of snow, mud, or sand? OMG, it's scary!

I would drive like all the other 2WD vehicles I've driven in snow

Doesn't alter the fact that a 4WD vehicle is more capable

There is probably a reason Toyota doesn't even bother to sell 2WD 6 lug Tacomas in Canada

The way I see it is why should I spend 40K on a truck and not make it 4x4 if i didn't want 4x4 i would simply buy a car or SUV

I said in CANADA it is useful, or anywhere else where there is lots of snow during the winter, My point was that there is plenty of reasons to have a truck, regardless of whether you had 4wd or not. Like I said before, 4wd is better in SOME situations, not ALL. It's really simple, & no need to dispute it. I have never been stranded in SNOW but I do not live in Canada either, or somewhere that has hills or backroads where 4wd would come in handy, period. It's not rocket science.

I didn't spend 40K, I spent 19K & up to now have never had an issue getting anywhere I needed to be.

Why are you trolling a poll about driving in Canada , in the Canada regional section then ?

I'm sorry for arguing in the CANADA section, but I DID say that in Canada it was a good thing to have on your truck. My thing is ppl thinking that it's necessary EVERYWHERE & clearly it is not.

I have 4x4 because we get snow. With that snow I ride snowmobiles a lot. Ever try towing a double trailer through snow up hills and getting caught in storms with 2wd, it sucks. If I lived in a climate where it was sunny with no snow I would have a little sports car, I'd have no snowmobile to haul.

Yeah, when you get a TON of snow it makes sense...otherwise it's an ego booster. Nuff said.
