Is it the manual J-shift lever or the shift lever with the 4wd button on it? If it's the button one I wonder if they didn't reconnect the wire

Been awhile since I had mine taken apart but *I think* there's a wire connection there that you have to unplug to take the lever off completely...can't imagine they would just leave that unplugged though

It should definitely be on them to fix it...that's some BS they want to charge $1000 to do it. Why are they charging that much? Do they claim to know what's wrong with it?

the truck does not have a button you just shift level- They replaced the front differential actuator($609.97part) and the transfer case switch ($95part)
I was wondering if the shift level being in backwards would constant current to the transfer case Switch?

How can the shift leverage get install backward? The 2 rear bolt pattern are wider then the 2 front?? Unless when they install it, the leverage didn't go into the shift rail position

I have installed the transfer case lever backwards a time or two it is quite easy to do.

Unless things changed in the newer trucks

Seems a case of being taken advantage of though
