    My wife's Highlander is AWD and it does awesome! Drives very nice too. No issues.

    OMG! No big deal...
    4WD CAN lock up when making hard turns on dry pavement. Don't do that, and you are fine. Driving for endless miles on dry pavement will increase the wear on your tires when in 4WD, so try not to do that either....
