I need to locate a 4WD shifter console for my 2004 Tacoma. I found this one which i like. suposed to be from a 2001 Tacoma. Anyone know if it will fit in a 2004 4WD application?

This one is the stock unit and i know will fit but i like the other one better.

    mjhenks,
It will fit but, there may be some minor grinding needed to fit the front of the rear section of the console to the rear of the part your are showing. The rear section has flat plastic tabs of sorts that overlap and go outside of the rear of the front section. I hope this helps you.

    Good luck.

Anyone know the part number for this console? Looking at the dealer images i am not able to ID it. I think it is 98-2001 Tacoma or 4Runner. Any help to ID the part number would be appreciated.

The part number I used for my grey console when I converted to 4x4 was:
