    Pulled this out because every time I used the Air Recycle button I heard a loud knocking sound coming from behind the glove compartment. Now to find a good replacement asap.

    I’m guessing this is an aftermarket part I pulled out. It looked like the previous owner installed it. I’m contemplating on putting an OEM part in there.

    :EDIT: So I read on Toyota Nation forums that the OEM Part says “WOORY” on it.

    Mine occasionally makes the same noise!! :rofl:I thought is was just a bad actuator or the flipper was getting stuck/broken. Did you confirm the noise was coming from the actuator before taking it out?

    "click-click-click-click-click-click" is what mine does. I just push the button again and it goes away. :anonymous:

    Umm, I didn’t confirm but from everything that I read on TW about it, I’m almost certain that this part is the culprit. I’m just trying to make sure the replacement part number is the correct one: 87106-04040

    Are you ready to trade trucks yet Chris? :D

    I started the truck up today after not driving it for a couple days and it was a hard start. It make like a tick or clinch sound and blew white smoke out the tailpipe. I immediately turned the truck off and started checking what I could visually. Checked the oil level & color, checked to see if I still had a catalytic converter, looked to see if my fuel tank was tampered with, looked in the engine bay to see any signs of leaking fluid. Nothing to be found. I’m thinking that it could be a slow leak of coolant that I’ve noticed. Could that mean head gasket needs replacing?

    Ok, so today I finally received the replacement part for my air circulation in the cab. I’m going to put it in tonight and hope it resolves the clicking sound issue that came from behind the glovebox.

    Ok, just installed the new “Servo Sub-Assy Damper”. I say something closes when it actually opens but, I’m pretty tired today and am not going to make another video because of that. Use a small ratchet with 7/32 sockets.

    I’m hoping the clicking/knocking behind the glovebox goes away now. I’ll update later.

    Thanks for the kind words. I didn’t make the video…I just worked for Bill infrequently on the weekends for extra cash. He was a nice guy and I have memories of talking with him, being in his shop, etc. I hustled when I worked for him and always got more done in less time than what he was expecting. I appreciated the work.
