welcome toytaco59, im from NC originally. currently live in FL. Tacos are fun, treat it nicely (change the oil) and beat the heck outta it off the tarmac... and the 255's are just fine no problems in the city traffic i'm in day in and day out.

Just wanna say, Great build thread!

I spent the first part of today going to buy a great cheap set of tires and my fiance and I have been talking about trading in my 2013 RC 4x4 AT for a DCSB,

Thing is the price of the 4cyl AC is what I like, After reading through your information and just loving you have my favorite color. For some reason I gravitate to Silver for almost all my vehicles. I have decided I really want to trade for an AC 4cyl 5-spd. She understood wanting the extra room in the cab today after we sat in a couple trucks. So that said I thank you for helping solidifying my decision.

BTW, Love 1st Gen wheels on a 2nd Gen, with the added offset and the 255s they look great and are very very functional overall.

    Keep up the good work!

I love this build! Functional, functional and functional.

Are you still running the 885s? I have a 4cyl access with sliders and skids and I am wondering if the 885s will give me 3 inches or if I should go with the 887s.

It's been awhile I know since this thread has been active. I just want to know how the 255/85r16 KM2s handle with your stock gears offroad/some on road ? I really want to see if I can get away without a regear for now ($1200-1800 is a lot!). I have these same exact tires but do not have any wheels for them yet. I plan on buying some Mickey Thompson Classics that weigh 23lbs a piece.

    Awesome build!

Nice build...this partially convinced me to run 1st gen TRD alloys when I get my 255/85/16 St Maxx tires...I like the 4.5bs on a factory 16x7 wheel.

Yes I'm still running the 885s.
After adding a full set of skids & sliders my 3" lift (885s front & Dakars rear) dropped to 2 1/2" front & 2 3/4" rear.
I added 1/8" spacer to the 885s to regain 1/4" of lift so now I'm 2 3/4" front & rear.

    Yes Jason
That happened in 9/15 at work.
Boss didn't use the motor brake to stop blade of a 24" circular saw, then told me to clear jam.
Blade spins for up to 5 minutes if you don't use brake.
I never thought to see if the blade was still spinning (hard to see & motor brake should have stopped it in 3-5 seconds)
ER & 1st corrective surgery followed by 5 months physical therapy.
They let me go 1/16 because they got tired of me telling them what they wanted me to do was against doctors orders.
I was left with I was left with constant pain that increased with any use of my hand. I also had limited range of motion & reduced strength. Normal feeling returned to most of my hand. The inside of my two middle fingers feel like they are somewhat asleep and any pressure to the tips sends electric shocks up my arm. I’m hoping this gets fixed in a future surgery the VA has yet to approve. The Doc wants to implant a small “wire” in my forearm near the main nerve that does most of the hand. The “wire” will produce “white noise” that should block the pain.
2nd corrective surgery to fix some of the shit that wasn't fixed right the 1st time was 1/5/18.
The surgery was to fix the problem around the area where the chunk was taken out of my radius. The plan was to bury the nerve deeper in my arm so that any contact with that area would not cause extreme pain. They found & fixed 3 funky nerve bundles that should take care of that problem.
This time they used a nerve block (I wish they would have done that the 1st time). They set me up with a catheter to do the nerve block. They went in behind my clavicle to find the nerve for my whole arm. Surgery started at 2 & was done at 4:15. After surgery they hooked up a ball with 550ml of Ropivacaine that would automatically pump 6ml per hour to the nerve. My arm was totally numb until around 8pm. Then I was able to wiggle my fingers a little, but my arm was drunk off it’s ass. I had little to no control over what it did. Around 10:30 I hit the booster button (5ml extra over a ½ hour) to hopefully get a good night’s sleep. BIG MISTAKE! My arm went back to totally numb until around 7am when I could start to wiggle my fingers again.
2nd batch of physical therapy starts 2/1/18.
