You;ll learn that the PreRunner is a very capable rig.

    Quite possibly, someday...
The main downfall to 2WD is...mud, thick, deep, clay ridden mud. Almost got the Expedition stuck in that crap. Luckily the V8 just goes and goes and is awesome so it pulled out fine but still...it was kinda sketchy for a few minutes.

Are you locked? What kind of tires? A locker and tires will make a huge difference.

Start off easy and work your way to harder terrain.

Drive easily & lightly. LIGHT on the throttle. Momentum is your friend. Have another vehicle with you and carry a tow strap.

The most important thing for you - is to 'learn' the vehicles capabilities and learn how to drive while offroad. Driving techniques & experience is most important.

You'll learn soon enough how far you can take your truck and what you want/need to make it more capable.

Don't go too crazy if you have the v6 without doin the motor mount area frame reinforcement.
