    I needed a truck to haul stuff. IE: Drywall, furniture, mulch, etc.. I got a 4x4 since I live in Colorado and the weather here is determined by a random number generator. :)

    Um... cuz 4x4 was the first thing that got to my dealer after I started looking. I checked out another big dealer and some used car lots. Neither dealers had anything on the lot for like 2 weeks. And the used lots wanted like 80% of new for a 3 or 4 year old model. F-that.

    So, 4x4 by greed!

    "Damn it, I want one! There's one finally - I'll take it!"

    Do I need a 4x4? Hell no. I mean, maybe in 5 or 10 years if I move back to Snowland (pretty much anything on the northern half of the US). But not now. That being said, I now try and find reasons to drive off-road.

    The road to sucess is not always paved and easy going!!! And because its not a good idea to drive around the hunting camp in 2wd with no help for miles!

    4x4 because of wants. As pretty much most of us here on TACOworld, Im an outdoor person and travel around mountains and dirt roads with mud. Its also for needs to but more of wants to be safe.

    4x4 since 2WD is for women :stirthepot::deadhorse:

    LOL Nah, since every 2WD truck I had before I could think of a dozen times when I needed 4WD. It wasn't that much more $, or MPGs and 4x4 resale is always better in the south.

    Come down to GA! Come to Blue Ridge and hit Blue Ridge Lake this summer, or come in the fall and check out the mountains when the leaves are changin.

    Anyway...I got a 4x4 cuz I hunt/fish and need it for some of the places I go. That and it helps pullin out all these other vehicles around here when we actually do get some snow. I've heard guys say "I wish I got a 4x4"...but not the other way around. Rather have it and not need it as need it and not have it.
