I'm currently converting my 2000 prerunner Xtra cab. Will a 3rd gen 4runner 4x4 rear drive shaft fit an Xtra cab taco?

    Thanks,

The 4runner’s are shorter. You can use the front driveshaft if they are both out of the same transmission types. Manual to manual or auto to auto.

    4 run, 2 don't
Get yours custom lengthened at any shop that does work on drive shafts.

Heck, put it in 4x4 without the rear shaft in that way you can get to said shop in fwd. Then when you get it cut down, install it and you've got your rear drive wheels back.

I called the shop near me and they want $150 to shorten and balance which doesn't seem to bad but there is a guy who parts out 4runners and he wanted 50 bucks for the full rear drive which is seems pretty cheap.
