if i lived up north or some place with mountains 4x4 for sure but in florida with doing 99% highway driving 4x2 for the win. only "serious" off roading here is the red necks with there trucks on 44s going through mud pits and to me thats not off roading.

a truck on 44's in a mud pit is more off roading than some one with a 2wd truck and some dust on it.. i mean.. maybe. :)

Well I don't know how it is for off roading, but for street driving it is nice to be able to get more traction.

It has the capability of enganging power from one wheel to the other. So if you have one back will off the ground theroretically it can transfer all the power to the wheel on the ground???

no. It's "limited" slip, not "non" slip. It still slips and lets one tire spin faster than the other. It just reduces that via clutches so you get better traction.

Plan on getting 1 wheel in the air and you better have a locker. You can finesse an LSD to work by using the brakes to stop one tire from spinning, but it's tricky. A locker is easier, and no clutches to wear out later.

K&N Drop in, Bilstein 5100's in front with Readylift kit on top for a 3 in. lift in the front and a 1 in. block in the rear. Next project is going to be TRD Supercharger and Camburg coilover long travel system with custom skid plate and tubes. Maybe some new tires and wheels then..
My trd sport does well in 4x4..im very satisfied with it..however..like a previous post..i wouldnt of minded having the trd off road with the locker..no dealers around had one..so i gotta sport..but its bulletproof in my book..best outta the box performance i have seen in a truck in its same class..

So obviously the stock Locker is very limited when you can use it, low 4th gear and under 20miles and hour? Is this the case for pretty much all lockers or is there an after market locker that can be ran at much higher speeds?

If I put a locker in my trd sport does that mean the LSD has to go?

Read through the thread in my sig. I can use my stock locker whenever I want.

yup. All the gears get swapped out. At least. There might be more to it as well.
