So, I ended up biting the bullet and buying a new set of springs (and bushings) from General Spring. I'm hoping to put them on this upcoming weekend. Can anyone confirm that the u bolt and shackle bolt sizes are 19mm? Also, as far as torque measurements go for 2wd.. (26 n-m for shock absorber, 120 n-m for ubolts, 155 n-m for front hanger, and 91 n-m for rear shackle pin) I'm working off of a 1996 repair guide and hoping it's the same for my 1997.

I'm gonna spray the existing hardware with PB blaster throughout this week and fingers cross they all come out / go in without any problems.

Anything else I should look out for, or be aware of when replacing these? Thanks again for the help!

So, instead of creating a new thread - i'd figure I'll post my installation q's here..

My new springs arrived today! (Although not quite how I imagined they would be packaged.) Essentially they had a stamp slapped on them and delivered as is. They got a bit banged up along the way, and I was hoping to paint them before I installed them. Would rubberized undercoating be a good solution to stop any further rust or should I stick to paint?

And answering my own question from earlier, yes - the bolts are 19mm (had to buy a new deep socket as my largest one was a 18mm)
