    That’s my guess, Transfer case..

I don’t think anything else busted would bring the truck to an abrupt halt besides a jammed case.

Lol...every time one of these major component failure posts come up it always pulls me in until the part where you read..only mod I did was.....

Have the installer of the gears cover it, your warranty probably won't help from the dealer. If the installer won't cover it and the cost is astronomical, trade it in...they won't turn the 4x4 switch...get another one and start again...use a different gear installer next time though...

I had to look up “sus” in the urban dictionary to understand this post. It Doesn’t sound good, OP. You might have busted transfer case or a front diff. At least you didn’t run over a vagabond or moose. :)

How would one break a transfer case or diff? Not like i was going hardcore...i havent hitting the trails in awhile and the conditions when it happened was just really cold and a little bit of snow on the road.

Wondering if it was just a combination of all of those that maybe broke the system/part...I mean its a toyota it shouldnt be breaking like that right? I guess it is a 2019 with 40k+ miles i guess its just wear and tear...

Well, you said you replaced the differential gears 3 months ago. Maybe they installed them wrong or maybe the gears had a manufacturing defect. Otherwise I have no idea.

you probably broke a cv axle. they usually make loud clicking noises when they break. and the noise would go away in 2wd.

I probably will bring it back to them...but now do I even want them touching my truck again idk.

I was hoping this is something I can fix myself if it is the transfer case.

There’s your answer. Always look to the last place a person touched things, no matter their level of perceived professionalism. Have them take a look, find out what’s wrong, and have them correct it or pay to have someone else do it. They’ll blame faulty components and not their install job. Good luck and keep us posted.
