2000 Taco extracab SR5 4x4 2.7 auto 135,xxx miles. Frame replaced in shop with one from a wrecked 98 prerunner from El Paso Tx clean and straight. Got it back in about July or so.
Coming home this afternoon in 2wd on the interstate going 65'sh on the interstate hit a bump and it sort of poped out of gear a second, checked the shit lever OK and then didn't seem right, was kinda dragging, pulled off and as i was pulling into a gas station entrance it locked probably the front wheel(s). I was able to back off the roadway and get out and check around, nothing visible, trans fluid full, nothing underneath out of the ordinary no oil or fluid spillage, I did drive a mile or so to get off interstate, but anyway I unlocked the hubs and was able to drive home. It snowed a week or so ago and I locked the hubs in the snow that day.

    Nice clean looking taco.

So what did you find when you got home? Lock the hubs and see if 4WD is working without any issues?

I'm assuming something is tore up some way, tried it before I came home and no luck, with this truck the few times I had to get it worked on, those mechanics or either retired or a passed away, called the shop I got the frame replacement can't help me now. Booked solid. Well I'm driving a pre-runner for a while now, the wrong time time of year for that.
