Hey guys I have a 2000 Tacoma and the other day me and some buddies went 4 wheeling and came upon some rocks and as I was going over them there was a loud pop in the front end and lost my 4 wheel drive. the front driveshaft still turns but wont turn the wheels nor the cv axles any ideas of what it could be? and the axle code on the door tag is b06a

Does the 4WD light still come one when you shift into 4WD? Sounds like one of two things. You sheared the teeth or fractured the A.D.D shift sleeve that locks the axle together or the actuator went out and wont engage the sliding sleeve anymore

Yep, the front diff is toast.

If you can find a used one with the same gears, that would be the best
way to go, otherwise, pull it and take it to a reputable gear shop and have them re-build it.
