So i wanna convert my prerunner to 4x4 my only question is, is that what is the difference between an add front diff and a regular front diff. they both seem to have some sort of vacuum pump... If im converting whats better a a.d.d diff or a regular manual diff?

Manual has no vacuum pump. The ADD does. If you go manual, you'll need the hubs, spindles, front and rear axles, diff, transfer case. If you have an auto, you need the computer and wiring also. Almost the same if you go ADD, you'll need different spindles, vsv's, pump and relays for the switches.

Lol I'm going with the j-shift style transfer case I'm not even gonna touch the ECU (except for the spedo). So if I use the j-shift I guess I'll go manual hubs is what it sounds like, because if i do manual hubs and a manual transfer case i should be able to skip by any sort of wiring.

Do your self a favor and buy a complete donor vehicle instead of getting it one piece at a time.
