Hello . First time posting on a forum. My name is Ben and live in aus. I'm after some advice or direction to someone in the know. I have a hiace van imported to aus from Japan. Engine is a 2tr-fe petrol. It runs a a343f ao3a. Awd Gear box. I'm trying to get info on what gearbox or transfer case I can put in to have hi low range . Or go to a manual conversion and run a w56 off a 3rz-fe. Silly me thought I could just buy a 4x4 a343f gearbox out of a cruiser put a independent trans controller . Freewheel hubs new drive shafts and she done. But after a lot of calling around no one can help. Thanks for reading. Cheers

Clearly, the Aussies know more about Toyota than the bulk of the TW clientele.

I’ll defer to anoyone who knows more about this than us...

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Dont know much about the Hiace. but Toyotas mounting for transmissions is usually unchanged.. you should be able to put most any toyota transmission in the truck that can physically fit

The Hiace is an interesting van. I rode in one for 11 hours from Manila up to a province up North when I was in the Philippines.

It's similar to the Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter passenger van here in the US.

I'm not familiar with the drivetrain, however. Except that I knew it had a Turbodiesel engine.
