4x4 TRD sport rear locker ?

That's what i thought although wasn't 100% sure. I remember the older models have lockable hubs so i thought maybe with some moding.......

If this was remotely true, there would be no reason to offer A-TRAC or locker on the Tacoma, Tundra, Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, or Lexus SUVs... but they are offered, and have been for years... hmmmm.

I can get my Off Road stuck... but so far only if I turn the traction controls off or don't deflate my tires... The beauty is, if it does get stuck because my differentials are open or tires at 32 psi, I can use the A-TRAC and just climb out of the stuck, without getting out of the truck. It is incredible, and I am sad for all of you who don't have it and feel the need to talk about it badly, when you haven't experienced it's ability.

If you are in low range and climbing an uneven surface (ruts) or in sloshy stuff... and one of your tires (per axle) looses traction or is above the ground... IT SPINS and the other tire just sits there. With the A-TRAC or lockers, the non-traction tire won't spin and the traction tire will get all the power.

Better to have it and not need it... then to need it and not have it, as they say!

Sure, the Sport TRD has its fans... and I know many. If a street truck with 4WD for snow or light off roading is their needs, great. If you need the long bed, great. If you like the Sport look and don't mind spending $$$ to add lockers to make it better off the road, great.

I am only promoting the Off Road 4WD to those who don't want to spend the extra $$$ because it can go from the showroom right to the most difficult condition with what Toyota has installed on it.

My sport has a bigger and stronger rear end. I am glad the hood scoop sold me. Not really a SPORT anymore. And any truck can get stuck. No matter what buttons you have

 

Then stick to that and stop belittling owners that CHOOSE not to get the Offroad because it doesn't fit their needs or priorities for their truck .

I have already given him an open invite to come wheel in CO. I know a TRD sport that my buddy has will out wheel the atrac hands down. Hell I dont have it on my OR and at no point have I ever been like damn wish I had atrac right now.

My point is that there are many different reasons people buy these trucks , and many owners do not buy them with the primary intention of offroading them .

This is why Toyota offers different configurations .

To assume and say continuously , over and over that anyone who bought a Sport ( or an SR5 for that matter ) was obviously misled or unaware of the Offroad's features , and after buying a Sport are hostile and angry that they were duped into their purchace by the dealer is retarded .
