Not at all. It stands as evidence towards Lurry's tardness.

    Isee .

Well , a floor register is part of a forced air heating or cooling system , it is the termination at the floor where the heating or cooling is provided .

Usually covered by a metal grille .

Confirmed, Lurry is tarded. Don't worry Lurry, there are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick-ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.

Remember when my A-TRAC enabled wonder was high centered in a log and wasn't going shitwhere because none of the wheels were on the ground?

Then it got recovered from the rear with the diff unlocked and the ring gear grenaded.

"Pushing" a stock truck doesn't mean shit. I'm with you - I *wish* he'd come wheeling with us.

I test drove both a sport and an off road and bought the sport for the following reasons:

    1) The truck will be driven on the highway for 96.7894324566% of its life, so I prefer the slightly better ride and handling of the sport on the highway.

    2) The Sport looks better to me with color matched items and hood (the chrome on the OR looks kinda cheesy to me).

    3) I drove a Ranger for years off road without a locker or A-Trac and seemed to survive somehow. The Sport 4X4 seems plenty capable to me for the average joe.

For those of you who prefer the OR - so be it. There really isn't a right or wrong answer here. I just get a kick out of people who think the Off road trucks are some kind of a factory-ready off road Juggernaut.

The reality is that both packages are pretty damn similar and both trucks in stock form have pretty similar off road capabilities.

I would be willing to wager that most of us do not do hardcore offroading -We drive the truck to work and occasionally take it off the pavement for some camping, fishing, ect. Either package is just fine for this use.

There are a minority of Taco owners that are involved in hardcore off roading. Neither package is really sufficient for these owners in stock form, and they end up building the truck the way they want anyways.

So in summary - the packages are not as different as many seem to think. Let me know if they offer a new off road package with a V8, lift, winch, sliders, and 33" grapplers. Until then you can find me driving my sport to work on the turnpike....

It is fine and good that you go into the deal KNOWING the difference... that is very good... You are buying a Sport because of the LOOKS.

That is the best reason in the world to buy a Sport.

Too many I have talked to didn't know about A-TRAC or the locker being only on an Off Road 4WD.

I also drive mostly on the highway... maybe over 90%, could be your 96% figure even? However, when I do go off road, I want the truck to have the most traction and ability of any stock truck around, and the Tacoma Off Road 4WD is that truck. I go into remote areas of Baja California and often alone, so reliability and maximum traction is essential.

The Sport and Off Road are not similar when it come to off road ability (without add ons, lifts, or over size tires)... Heck, just this little dirt run near Escondido we go to (Welk Trail/ Drug Airport) has stopped Sports, but not me.

At least you can do the yellow wire (4-low Trac) mod so you can get some limited slip on the front axle in low range, IF you need it.

    Enjoy your Tacoma!
