I have the Off-Road Tacoma, if I get the scooped hood, color matching bumper, grill, etc I can then have the best of both worlds or will there still be something missing?

Will it be a Spoffroad or an Offsport?

AMEN ... Thanks for your comment ,, the people on this Forum make it sound like its sin to have a TRD SPORT instead of a OFF ROAD ,,,,, i live in NJ and we got lots of snow this past winter and I did great with my 2006 TRD Sport and i honestly don't regret having a TRD Sport ..... Thanks ...

Why is there always a debate between off-road and sports? They are both great trucks, who cares what other people have!

Does the cookie have the upgraded milk chocolate chip package? The semi sweet chip package is totally inferior and I do some pretty extreme cookie eating. Also, anyone else who does extreme cookie eating with semi sweet chips, they are just not as extreme as me. fact.

I've had my Sport for 2 years. Never been off road and don't plan to. I have driven through 2 winters of 10" snows, and gone wherever I wanted. I like the look of the Sport much better. I love the Sport wheels. Bottom line, I liked the Sport better.

Calling yours a sport and mine an offroad at this point is...inaccurate? At best. At this point we're well past Toyota packages.

    S'like calling Wyatt's truck a Sport.

I read on the forum that some with the sport model want to add either the OEM locker or an aftermarket one. Why would that be if it is as capable as the off road model? I am just wondering is all. I think I would have been fine with the sport but still happy with what I have.

Thanks for the reply, was just wondering about it. When I purchased my truck, there on the lot was a beautiful black TRD sport truck that I almost went with instead. Was just in my mind to buy the off road model thinking it was a more capable truck with the locker.

I was looking into buying a boat one day and figured that the locker would help more, but as I have read, it takes driving skill on top of vehicle options. The locker probably is not even needed for that kind of thing. I have alot to learn ;)

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
prior to 09, the sport actually cost more than the OR. when they went to the auto LSD BS, and all models had it, it dropped the price of the sport to just under the OR price.

I love the way my truck drives, I should have test drove the sport to compare. I love the way my truck rides compared to the pre runner I had with TSB. Maybe it is just me because it is new :)

I did also remove the Rugged Trails and went with the Destination AT tires from Firestone, seems quieter on the road compared to when it had the Rugged tires.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I bought my sport because I didn't know any better. I underestimated the usefulness of the locker coming from a Ford focus to my first truck. I researched the shit out of trucks in this general class as far as price, reliability, retaining value, etc, but I fell a little short in the off-road capabilities. I was satisfied that the trd sport was more capable than the Frontier, Dakota, Ranger, or Colorado and didn't really compare Toyota vs Toyota. You live and learn. I don't really regret it, maybe if i Find the sport consistently letting me down I would, but I don't see that being a problem.
