So I am having problems with my 4x4 working lights blink. I have replaced front actuator and transfer case also replaced 4x4 main control board. At the dealer now and they can’t figure it out either they have been working on it for 4 hours with no answer and 400 in the hole. Any suggestions?

Wait a minute, they charge you 400 and said they don’t know and can’t fix it?

They are still working on troubleshooting but as of now they don’t know what’s going on.

My Highlander lost half of the instrument panel (stuff went to zero), vehicle still ran. I was $160 in the dealer hole (they couldn’t fix it). The Mechanic apparently had never seen a speaker with an external x-over (he was complaining that could be the issue) and they wanted $600 for a full electrical troubleshoot (with no guarantees). I told them no thank you and took it home.

I was in it about 45 minutes when I found that the ground wires need cleaning. There were 3 ground wires going to the block. Saved myself $$.

OP, you indicated that you replaced a couple of components. Did you do this yourself or have the dealer do them? I'm trying to determine if you are a DIY type, and if so and have a VOM meter I can send you some diagnostics.

In theory there are only 6 things that could be wrong: the front diff actuator, transfer case actuator, transfer case limit switches, 4wd ECM, 4WD selector switch, and any associated wiring. If you’ve replaced two of those with known working parts, that leaves 4 potential options. Have at it.
