Buddy of mine here just bought a 2020 TRD OR last month. He went in going to play hardball and they came out the hole lower than what he was going to try and get it for. They’re BSing as usual to get more money. Walk away from that place.

What state did you end up buying from? What was the shipping cost? What was the process for buying?

I bought it from Arizona. You could get it shipped. In my case the dealer brought it to me at no cost. You'll have to pay taxes when you register it to your state. You do this at the DMV. The DMV part was a bit of a headache mostly because it was at the beginning of the pandemic and everything was closed or had odd hours. I just made the deal through phone, saw the truck through facetime and the sales person did a drive with me on facetime. I agreed to buy it if once I saw it everything was like it seem through the phone. They brought it to me with all the paperwork, I saw the truck and checked that it was good, then I signed papers and gave the down payment. Done deal! Way easier than all the local dealers that wouldn't even start a negotiation on the phone. All of them wanted me to go there and look at other trucks etc. etc. The prices locally were insane and this was way before the shortage... I also wanted a manual and every dealer that had one wanted a premium.

If you want to go this route I would recommend autotempest.com cargurus.com cars.com and check everyday at least twice a day.
