5' Decked in a 6' bed?

I'd like to save some space up front for a water tank or other storage. Anyone know if it is possible to put the short bed version of Decked in a long bed Toyota? It seems to me that a Toyota short bed is just the choped down version of the long bed. Does that sound right? I've been prowling the threads and had not seen this discussed.

 

I have it done and there is a recent thread about it. It works just fine.
