I'll believe it when I see it. I'll keep the truck just drive it a little less if it does happen because if gas does hit $5 it will be really hard to get rid of it and/or we'll lose more on the truck value than we'll save in gas because the flip side is the efficient car prices will sky rocket.

Like was stated above, probably will be forced to keep it due to a huge drop in value. Probably will be forced to buy a motorcycle or cheap 4 cylinder car though.

    Build thread in sig...
i've been planning to get a motorcycle for a while, so when that happens, the truck will be for wheeling, towing, moving stuff/people, and the motorcycle can be used the rest of the time. i didn't buy the truck to save on gas. jason's post nailed it. unless gas does hit $5 (i don't believe it) and keeps going up from there at a steady rate, it would be a poor financial decision to to sell the truck imo.

Definitely keep it. Probably ditch the mudders for an AT and start riding the motorcycle a little more.

I already stopped carrying around my 100lbs of recovery gear everyday. Maybe I'll get around to making that topper-hoist so i can take my topper off more often.

It will depend on what I am doing for a living and how long a commute I have.
More than likely keep it and drive it a lot less. Also resale will be a big factor. I hope to have it paid off. As long as I am spending less than what my payments was I will be fine.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
If it ever gets that high, it will be the governments fault and not the gas companies, so to stick it to the man I will find a way to drive more (not eat, sell my kids, etc.).

note: before reporting me to authorities for selling my kids, this is sarcasm, unless the price is right

If G\gas gets that high, it'll have a negative effect on the economy. With the economy already in the crapper, the government would best be served if it did everything it could to keep $5 /gallon gas from happening.

Dont matter how high gas prices get, I'll never sell my truck. It sits in the garage 5 days a week anyways so I'm not worried about it.
