5 inch backspace not good

    so the sidebiter rims come in a 5 inch backspace only so does that mean that i cant run them with a 3 inch lift? i heard that the best backspace for a 3 inch with 33's is a 4.5 is that true or is it a different size? does the amount of backspace determine if i will rub or not?

    Yes- Backspace is the space behind the mounting surface to the edge of the rim. If your BS is greater than 4.5 inches (or so) will most likely have issues with hitting stuff behind the wheel.

    And I don't think the limit of 4.5 is only for 3 inch rims...You don't gain more clearance behind the tire from the larger lifts or anything...
